Existing authorized licenses and configuration information (including Service.txt and ARCGIS.opt files if applicable) are retained in the upgrade. The ArcGIS 10.2.2 License Manager setup package is designed to detect and upgrade an existing installation of the ArcGIS 10.1 (including Service Pack 1 ), 10.2 or 10.2.1 License Manager. This update requires that ArcGIS 10.2.2 License Manager be installed to support these products. The copy protection mechanism for ArcGIS 10.2.2 for Desktop and ArcGIS 10.2.2 Engine Concurrent Use has been updated.
